Sorry for my poor vietnamese. I am a Taiwanese and working in Vietnam.
I would like to use my palm to study vietnamese, but i meet some problems.
Do you know any software for plam allowing to read Chinses and Vietnamese at the same time?
Or is it possible that i make a Chinese - Vietnamese dictionary in excel then export to my palm?
It is very hard to find a information for me …Would you please give me some information about that ?

You can check up information about a Vietnamese - Chinese (and vice versa) dictionary for PC and Pocket PC at this website:

As I know they’re going to release the Palm version of the dictionary. At the moment, we still have to wait and I think you can use V-C dictionary on your laptop or PC instead. One disadvantage I guess is that you can use pingying to look up the chinese word.
All the materials are free, and you can contact the developer (Mr. Vuong) to have exact information of the release date for the Palm version. More information can be found in this thread:

I will try it tonight and hope it can work on my NX73V.
Actually I left my NX73v behind for a long time . When I decide to use it again and take it out from my cabinet…then just found that Sony had already stopped producing its palm stuff.

I’m just start learning Chinese a month ago, so a Vietnamese - Chinese dictionary is also important to me. Sorry that I did not check the website before recommend it to you, so I don’t know that there was also a palm version on it. We both gain from what you’ve found.
Out of my espectation, pinyin is also available. Unicode code of the character also available too. 
If there is any difficulty in reading instructions in Vietnamese, you can email me at lotuong@s.vnn.vn. If I don’t have the answer, I might ask somebody here for you or recommend you to an expert. There’re many experts available around here that willing to help you out!

After discussing with our IT man, we think the part 3 telling about “to install the Han- Viet dictionary into your palm “, right? But the problem is that we can not find the “Tự Điển Hán Việt Thiều Chửu (bản Palm)” on the web site. Do you get the file?
I am trying to make me own Han-Viet dictionary by Excel and hope it can work on Document to go, but I failed…When I launched my CJK(Chinese font software) , the Vietnamese words in the file became unknown codes. When I turned off CJK and launched VietFontPro, …ok ,It can work to show the correct Vietnamese but the Chinese characters disappeared… It means that it is not allowed to read Chinese and Vietnamese in Document to go at the same time… Do you have better ideas or know any software to solve this issue?
I wish that we could teach each other our own languages…but it’s so unlucky that you are in Ha Noi and I am in Binh Duong…

I have same problem,CJK and VietFont can not using together.And i must buy a new Palm(Treo650 Hi-res) for use OfficeSuite 7.It support Unicode.

with mobi systems office as meoluoi recommended, you can read unicode document after import from PC, but you can’t type it from palm, whether Vietnamese or Chinese. The 8bit font table of Palm is too small even for Vietnamese characters only - So Palm will never have a font that contain both Vietnamese and Chinese characters. Maybe change to Pocket PC (Like O2) can help! 
I also can’t download the palm software from the website. I’ll email the programmer to ask about that! PC Version (Java offline) run after installing the Java Runtime Environment 2.0. But the interface is not very easy to use and I dont find any Chinese word there. I’m downloading the font as they recommend. Hope it will be OK, so that at least we can look up word from the PC.
Use the English - Vietnamese dictionary is a acceptable solution. Like me, I’m using a English - chinese dictionary to learn Chinese. I can send you both of the dictionary I mention here if you need them!

Do you mean that OfficeSuite 7 supports reading Vietnamese and Chinese characters in the same document ?Doese it support my Sony NX73V ?Anyway I will download and try it first. It is very lucky that you also in Binh Duong. When you have free time ,we can go to Uong Cafe and use Palm to Beam …ha

You could check this. I bought this about 250,000 VND in Fahasha book store in saigon. This dictionary is very good . But my laptop is too heavy , I can not take it outside any time.
Actually I have a ENG-Viet dictionary on palm, but the quality is not good. It would be great if I could get a better palm ENG-Viet dictionary from you

Java offline version of the dictionary in www.viethoc.org work very well after right installation. You may consider I’ve save 250.000đ
For look up words between Vietnamese and English, I just use EV and VE Roadlingua dictionary for Palm. (A completely free tool - no copyright needed). But you have to install the vietnamese font and keyboard first. And when using Vietnamese font, maybe you can’t use your Chinese characters. I’ll send you the files.
